How Should I Choose A Prop Firm

If you are overwhelmed by the number of prop firm options, a reliable way to filter them is to compare them side by side.

Here’s how you can do it.

Below, there’s my prop firm comparison tool which includes all of them, and the ones that accept crypto as well. Just choose the firms that you want to compare and immediately check the results with a detailed comparison.

Compare Any Prop Firm

What Is Crypto?

Crypto is the future of the money. Well, it’s already a reality, but it will very likely replace the classic banking system.

When you use crypto you are your own bank. You don’t need to rely on an institution to store your money. You have access to it 365/24/7 and you can make instant transactions at any time.

Your money is not in a country anymore, you can move borders and take your money with you easily.

This presents a lot of advantages to commercial relationships, and prop firms are no exception.

You can use crypto to:

  • Easily pay for their challenges from any part of the world
  • Get paid instantly wherever you are in the world

The advantages are so big that some prop firms actually prefer this type of payment.

How To Use Crypto With A Prop Firm?

There are two scenarios here.

You want to:

  • Pay the prop firm with crypto
  • Get paid by the prop firm with crypto.

Let’s look at both.

Paying The Prop Firm Using Crypto

To be able to purchase a prop firm challenge or evaluation from a prop firm, you need to have crypto first.

This is how you do it:

  • First, you need a place to buy crypto. The easiest way is to go to a crypto exchange like Binance.
  • Next, you need to buy crypto. Most prop firms accept USDT, but other options may be available like USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, … Check with your firm which ones they accept.
  • Now you need to transfer the crypto you bought to the prop firm. Just follow their instructions on the challenge you’re buying.

The transfer can be done directly from the exchange to the prop firm. No extra steps are needed here.

Getting Pad By The Prop Firm With Crypto

When it’s time to withdraw, the best time, you have two options:

  • Withdraw directly to the exchange
  • Withdraw to your own wallet

Withdrawing from the prop firm to the crypto exchange it’s easier.

The prop firm will ask you for an address to send you the payment in crypto.

Just go to your exchange website and search for the address to deposit crypto on the exchange

Give that address to the prop firm.

And it’s done.

Now you can convert the crypto back to your local currency or do whatever you want.

Withdrawing from the prop firm to your own crypto wallet

If you don’t plan to convert your crypto anytime soon, you can take custody of it.

Create a crypto wallet and check what’s the address to deposit.

Give that address to the prop firm and it’s done.

Advantages Of Doing Crypto Payments With A Prop Firm

  • Fast transactions: Crypto transfers are often faster than bank transfers, especially for international payments that can take several days, or payments during the weekend, or after hours.
  • Lower transaction costs: When you pay your prop firm using crypto, the costs of the transaction are potentially smaller than making a bank transfer.
  • Accessibility: Crypto is an accessible option for traders in regions with limited or restricted access to the traditional banking system.
  • Anonymity: Although it’s not completely anonymous, it offers an extra degree of privacy.

Disadvantages Of Doing Crypto Payments With A Prop Firm

  • Crypto volatility: Crypto price may fluctuate a lot due to its high volatility. This high volatility may make your prop firm withdrawal increase or decrease in value before you convert it to a FIAT currency.
  • Limited refund and reversal: When using crypto there’s no margin for errors. If you transfer your money to the wrong address, it’s gone. There’s no way to get it back.
  • Technical complexity and security risks: You need some knowledge about crypto to make sure you’re following the best practices to keep it safe.
